The Role: Our Bedford, MA site is seeking a Quality Inspector to join the team. In this role, you will ensure that incoming, in process, and finished products meet the highest quality standards and customer specifications. Key responsibilities include performing detailed inspections using a variety of measurement techniques, maintaining accurate quality records, generating eCOAs, and supporting quality process audits.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5-years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow documented processes and procedures.
  • Good attention to detail; ability to perform basic math computations and computer data entry.
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs and be able to walk and stand during the entire shift.
  • Ability to use measuring devices and hand tools.
  • Ability to repetitively pinch and grasp hand tools, repetitively twist, bend and reach upward and handle all materials required in manufacturing, etc.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to work in different environments
  • Must be proficient in English language to be able to read documentation, communicate, and write.

  • Ideal candidate will have keen eye for quality, is dependable, and will work collaboratively within a team, and possess a positive attitude.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, especially in sandblasting and coatings.
  • Problem Solving – Recognizes problems and understands root cause analysis techniques/concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on incoming raw materials and components in accordance with established procedures.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and purchase order requirements.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain records within quality systems and SAP.
  • Initiate and process Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMRs) as required.
  • Verify Certificates of Conformance, test reports, and all supporting supplier documentation.
  • Provide support for First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in collaboration with Engineers.
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Supplier Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve supplier related issues.
  • Create and close Quality Notifications for raw material conformance issues effectively.
  • Update pass down notes to ensure continuity of work and successful completion of tasks.
  • Demonstrate and promote Entegris PACE values in all daily activities.
  • Actively participate in shift pass downs to communicate safety, quality, and production priorities.
