About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Quality Technician to join our team located in Thomasville, NC. The Quality Technician supports daily manufacturing operations by performing inspections, tests, and audits to ensure products meet internal standards and customer specifications. The schedule is Mon-Thurs 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. We Offer You! Supportive and collaborative culture Ongoing interaction with multiple levels of the organization Knowledgeable and motivated team members What Success Looks Like: Perform destructive and nondestructive testing and measurements of parts to ascertain conformance of specification Train production employees on Quality Standards and Measurement Methods Audit in-process injection molding machines for conformance to specifications Enter/update data, and create reports to run regularly (weekly, monthly, etc.) Analyze and interpret statistical data to evaluate the performance of injection molding machines Assist in the calibration of basic inspection hand tools. Identify defects and nonconforming material. Support root cause investigations and corrective/preventative action activities Communicate quality concerns to supervisors, operators and management. Participate in process audits, product audits and quality improvement initiatives. Your Credentials: High School Diploma or equivalent 1-3 years of experience in quality, manufacturing or related field The hourly wage starts at $18.00/hr. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in quality, manufacturing or related field

Responsibilities
