Position Overview: The Quality Technician will play a critical role in ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards and comply with food safety regulations. This position involves regular monitoring of production processes, conducting tests, and collaborating with production staff to maintain quality assurance. Scheduled hours for this 2nd shift position are 2:30PM - 11:00PM, Monday - Friday.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality management systems (HACCP, ISO, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient in using quality measurement tools and software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • An associate degree or higher in food science, biology, chemistry, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in quality assurance or quality control in a food manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections and tests of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Maintain equipment calibration for analytical testing. Perform pre-operational inspection and ATP swab for the parts and equipment’s after cleaning before to use. Perform Environmental swab. All other duties as assigned.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality reports. Ensure all documentation is up to date and compliant with regulatory and GFSI requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and investigate quality issues, non-conformities, and deviations. Work with the production team to implement corrective actions and improve processes.
  • Training: Assist in training production staff on quality standards and practices to promote a culture of quality within the plant.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality assurance protocols, including HACCP, GMP, and relevant industry GFSI standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and management, to foster a proactive quality improvement environment.
  • Audits: Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, efficiency, and safety within the manufacturing process.
