Requirements

  • Leadership in mining and aggregates-demonstrated ability to lead crews in quarry, open-pit or heavy manufacturing environments, including oversight of drilling, blasting, load and haul, and primary crushing operations.
  • Safey first mindset strong commitment to safe blasting procedures, controlled drilling operations, and compliance with MSHA and site specific safety protocols.
  • Promotes hazard recognition, pre blast planning and safe equipment operation across all activities.
  • Operational planning and coordination skilled in organizing daily pit activities, scheduling drilling and blasting cycles, coordinating with shot service providers and aligning production targets with downstream plant requirements.
  • Communication and team engagement able to clearly communicate blast plans, pit sequencing and operational priorities while supporting crew engagement and cross functional coordination with maintenance, quality and environmental teams.
  • Problem-solving and continuous improvement applies a practical field driven approach to resolving issues such as drilling deviations, fragmentation challenges, equipment delays, and pit floor conditions, Supports continuous improvement in blast design, cycle efficiency and overall production reliability.
