About The Position

This job is an hourly position and reports to the area Supervisor/Cell Leader. Receives detailed assignments and follows established processes to meet the goals of the work cell. Regular overtime work may be required in this role. Work is guided by diverse procedures, processes and/or technical methods of varying complexity. Tasks are compled in nature where considerable judgement and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Decisions/actions may have an impact beyond the jobs immediate work unit or team. This position works under general Supervision. Situations not covered by standard processes, procedures and methods are referred to expert resource. May provide functional guidance to others performing similar work. May demonstrate work methods to new employees. Deals directly with immediate supervisor, co-workers and team members; engages in exchanges of factual information and provides some explanation in a problem solving capacity; interactions with external contacts, if applicable, require exchanging factual information and providing some explanation.

Requirements

  • Must possess specific certifications as defined by site operations.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of board assembly process and product process flow.
  • Knowledge of product quality, soldering specifications.
  • Ability to set up, operate, calibrate and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment and tools.
  • Ability to recognize problems in the assembly process or with assembly components and to address those problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively within the functional team
  • Ability to work effectively with team members
  • Knowledge of in-circuit and functional test fixturing.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in some or all of the following applications: Word, Excel and Documentation control systems. SAP knowledge preferred
  • More advanced manufacturing systems knowledge
  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • High school diploma and additional courses after high school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and a commitment towards further / additional education.

Responsibilities

  • Repetitive to non-repetitive assembly and testing, assembly, test, troubleshooting, and rework, of electronic and quartz components.
  • May perform manual assembly, hand soldering, and operation digital or analog test equipment.
  • Participate in cell and operational cross training
  • Other opeartional duties as needed
