Overview: The purpose of the internship is to provide meaningful professional hands-on experience to students with leadership potential and proven academic performance. Werfen hires students majoring in Life Sciences fields into this internship program based on business need. Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities. Position Description To perform entry level work of a routine nature requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related tasks. The Intern will be involved in the day-to-day activities of the team included aiding other departments as they relate to department projects. We expect the intern to gain an in-depth knowledge of the product and its associated processes, particularly the process activities in-which they will be directly involved. The intern will have opportunities to assist in nearly all aspects of the workflow Performs experiments in development of new or improved werfen products in R&D laboratory under the supervision of R&D staff, using werfen automated coagulation analyzers, reagent products with human blood plasma. Data gathered from the experiments can be used to complete technical data files required for product registration in multiple countries. Performs research on technology, equipment and tooling to improve process quality, yield or cost. Generates proposals based on research. Reviews process procedures, change orders, equipment specifications, validation plans, and reports. Assists in creating, reviewing and maintaining department files. Performs experiments, analyzes and interprets numerical data from experiments. Summarizes findings by computer readouts, statistical summaries, graphs and other methods
