About The Position

Wright Manufacturing, an award-winning producer of commercial-grade lawn equipment, in Frederick, Maryland, is seeking a creative and motivated R&D Seasonal Equipment Operator to play an active role in supporting the initiatives of the team. Do you like the smell of fresh-cut grass and enjoy operating the best commercial lawn care equipment? Wright’s seasonal position would be a great opportunity for a hands-on, mechanically inclined, self-starter, and motivated individual. Wright is a “soup to nuts” company where metal comes in one door and finished products go out the other.

Requirements

Physical requirements: ability to lift up to 75 lbs. consistently and perform manual labor in various weather conditions
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges on-site

Nice To Haves

Experience operating landscaping equipment and tools safely (preferred)
Basic small engine repair
Familiarity with Zero Turn Walk-behind, Stand-On and Ride-On lawn mowers

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the R&D team to conduct functionality, performance, stress, and reliability testing to ensure products meet quality standards
Operate and test products in local test fields under varied conditions to evaluate real-world performance
Provide detailed feedback on user experience, performance, and potential improvements
