Our North American Semiconductor group is searching for a R&D Technician to join our team in Reno, NV. In this exciting role, you will: 1. Under direction of Engineers, build and operate a Plasma laboratory. 2. Perform leak checking for medium to high vacuum integrity and troubleshooting of vacuum systems. 3. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of testing equipment and instruments to ensure operational efficiency. 4. Weld pipes and fabricate parts as required for testing setups or equipment modification.

Requirements

  • Experience in fabrication and/or procurement of medium to high-vacuum systems and chamber components.
  • Knowledge of high frequency (kHz to GHz) power supplies, low temperature plasma generation systems, matching networks.
  • Pumping system competency, rotary, scroll, roots, turbomolecular, cryogenic.
  • Versed in vacuum and gas system instrumentation, such as mass flow controllers, capacitance diaphragm gauges, residual gas analyzers.
  • High competency in RF, high voltage, and general electrical power safety.
  • General competency and safety knowledge with positive pressure gas delivery systems used in semiconductor.
