Job Responsibilities: POSITION SUMMARY: As a member of a cross-functional team, performs semi-skilled production racking in accordance with team goals. May perform work manually and/or by machine operation which requires in-depth knowledge of process and constant monitoring. Ensures product and process quality and efficiency through appropriate inspection and continuous improvement problem solving activities. Makes production racking adjustments and typically manages several variables within the process. Maintains procedures and standards to provide compliance with quality standards for assigned area. Efficiently performs basic preventative maintenance and moderately complex machine setups. Maintains material movement systems and completes proper paperwork and documentation to guide operations of the team. Participates in annual planning process, understanding plant objectives and identifying improvements to help attain goals. Performs other duties as necessary in support of team objectives.

Requirements

  • Mechanical ability to perform moderately complex set-ups and make necessary adjustments to keep equipment in process.
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills to manage, prioritize, and deal with many issues at one time.
  • Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate within production and quality standards, including being able to utilize/operate all job-related equipment. Equipment may include fork-lift, hand tools, production machinery, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a team environment to stage or return paint racks to keep the paint line running at company goal uptimes.
  • Work well with a small team and well with different personalities
  • Manually move racks to appropriate areas to maintain production uptime and 5S.
  • Work well with Overtime requirements
  • Flexible work hours
  • Able to lift over 50lbs frequently.
  • Be able to understand shippers to ship or receive racks from burn off supplier.
  • Be able to load or unload burn off trailers to keep production operating properly.
  • Be able to maintain a hilo license if required.
  • Able to read production schedules to stage properly.
  • Wear safety gear that is associated with the job and possible future safety requirements.
