Rad Tech Assistant
About The Position
The Radiology Technologist Assistant transports and/or escorts patients to and from diagnostic testing areas. They assist technologists with patient positioning, prepping patients, and documenting information within the EMR. The Radiology Technologist Assistant Greets visitors/patients and facilitates meeting their needs and facility needs. Transports patients via appropriate mode of transportation to and from Imaging Services. Assists patients to ensure safe transfer between wheelchairs/stretchers and imaging equipment. Facilitates patient flow. Helps patient complete history sheets. Assists with positioning and prepping of patients. Notifies technologist of stat orders and changes. Assists with new employee orientation. Maintains cleanliness and neatness of equipment, patient areas and work areas. Stocks all necessary supplies and linens. Complies with infection control, radiation safety, OSHA standards, and practices safe operation of all assigned equipment.
Requirements
- Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
- Experience: none
- Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required.
- Other Minimum Qualifications: Good interpersonal, communication and employee development skills.
