About The Position

As a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will play a critical role in the healthcare team by performing diagnostic imaging examinations that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. Your expertise in operating sophisticated imaging equipment will ensure high-quality images are produced while maintaining patient safety and comfort. You will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, explaining the process, and positioning them correctly to capture accurate images. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review images and ensure diagnostic accuracy. Your work directly contributes to effective patient care and treatment planning, making this role essential in medical diagnostics.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Certification and licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in the United States (ARRT certification required)plus additional ARRT CT credentials.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to radiologic procedures.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols to ensure patient safety and image quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital imaging software.
  • Prior experience working in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Continuing education in radiation safety and emerging imaging technologies.
  • Previous Radiologic Technology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans.
  • Prepare and position patients accurately to obtain the best possible images while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
  • Review images for quality and clarity, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure diagnostic standards are met.
  • Maintain detailed patient records, including imaging results and exposure data, in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self, and participate in ongoing training to stay current with technological advancements.
