About The Position
Deliver precision radiation therapy in an academic medical environment, utilizing advanced technology to treat oncology patients. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans while ensuring safety and accuracy in a dynamic clinical setting.
Requirements
- Education: Successful completion of an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree or graduation from an American Medical Association (AMA)-approved Radiation Therapy Program is required.
- Licensure: Must hold a current and active license issued by New York State (NYS) in Radiation Therapy Technology.
- Experience: Must have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a radiation therapy setting.
- Technical Skills: Must have strong knowledge of safety protocols and maintenance for high-voltage, state-of-the-art radiation equipment.
Responsibilities
- Administer targeted radiation treatments
- Operate/maintain advanced radiation equipment
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols
- Position patients accurately for therapy
- Document treatment delivery and patient responses
- Collaborate with oncology teams on plan adjustments
