About The Position

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians while following national oncology care and safety standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge of radiation therapy equipment and the ability to ensure accurate and safe treatment delivery.

Requirements

Associate degree from an AMA-approved Radiation Therapy program
Active New York State Radiation Therapist License
Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
Strong knowledge of radiation safety standards
Ability to maintain accurate documentation and patient records
3–5 years of related experience preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescriptions
Interpret treatment plans and ensure accurate dose delivery
Prepare and operate radiotherapy equipment including: Linear Accelerators Simulators Co-60 equipment
Perform simulation procedures for tumor localization
Capture imaging and radiographic films to verify treatment fields
Document and maintain accurate patient treatment records
Coordinate patient appointments and treatment schedules
Monitor patients for radiation reactions and provide care instructions
Ensure compliance with departmental safety protocols and regulatory standards
Participate in departmental training and educational programs
