About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Radiation Therapist for an exciting job in Syracuse, NY.
Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree or completion of an AMA-accredited Radiation Therapy program
- Registered Radiation Therapist (RRT) certification (ARRT preferred)
- Active New York State Radiation Therapist license
Nice To Haves
- Experience with TrueBeam systems
- Experience with CT Simulation (CT Sim) equipment
- 3–5 years of recent radiation therapy experience
Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist
- Interpret treatment prescriptions to ensure precise and accurate dosage delivery
- Prepare and operate radiotherapy equipment, including Linear Accelerators, Co-60 units, and Simulators
- Perform CT simulation procedures for accurate tumor localization and treatment planning
- Obtain radiographic images for treatment verification and portal imaging
- Collect and document physical factors required for treatment planning
- Monitor patients for radiation reactions and provide education, support, and appropriate care
- Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies, state regulations, and safety standards
- Coordinate patient scheduling and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Participate in departmental in-service training and ongoing professional development
- Maintain strict safety standards while working with high-voltage radiation equipment
