About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist III is a Full Time, Regular position working Monday, Thursday, Friday from 9:00am to 9:30pm at Sacred Heart Medical Center. This role involves performing General Diagnostic Radiography exams in both inpatient and outpatient settings, specifically in a level III trauma environment. The technologist is responsible for obtaining high-quality radiological exams under the supervision of a radiologist, adhering to established Inland Imaging guidelines and protocols.

Requirements

  • AA Degree preferred or Military education/training equivalent.
  • Accredited Radiologic Technologist Program required.
  • One year experience preferred.
  • Anatomy and medical terminology preferred.
  • Medical office experience preferred.
  • Understanding of radiologic-fluoro procedures to be read by radiologist preferred.
  • Must maintain current Washington State Radiologic Technologist licensure.
  • Maintain current ARRT (R) certification.
  • Current CPR/BLS required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite; Workday, Webex; Qgenda, I-Site, Internet/Intranet, EPIC and Medicalis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform General Diagnostic Radiography exams proficiently in a hospital setting, including Fluoroscopy procedures, arthrograms, UGI’s, esophograms, and feeding tube placement.
  • Set up sterile trays for fluoroscopic guided procedures.
  • Assist radiologist/midlevel personnel with fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Administer oral/rectal contrast during fluoroscopic exams.
  • Administer IV contrast during GU studies.
  • Assist patients as needed to obtain quality exams.
  • Physically maneuver/lift patients to a standing position to perform x-ray exams.
  • Prepare exam rooms and maintain clean and stocked exam rooms.
  • Maintain clean radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Schedule Diagnostic Radiologic exams.
  • Participate in the training of students in the educational radiologic technologist program.
  • Perform portable radiographic exams.
  • Interact with multi-system Radiology vendors and systems and understand all protocols.
  • Adhere to all DOH, TJC, Inland Imaging and partnering facilities policies and procedures.
