Requirements

• Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required.
• Active New York State (NYS) license/registration required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist required.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures, radiation safety principles, and imaging equipment operation.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented clinical environment.
• Excellent communication skills and strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations under the direction of radiologists.
• Greet, properly identify, and prepare patients for imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Accurately position patients and select appropriate exposure factors to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Strictly adhere to radiation safety standards to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
• Operate radiologic and imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor equipment performance and promptly report malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor.
• Process and document imaging studies in the Radiology Information System (RIS) to ensure accurate record-keeping and billing.
• Follow all departmental policies, procedures, and established imaging protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation and weekend coverage as required.
