About The Position

At the direction of a radiologist or other providers, prepares patients and performs specialized clinical procedures (i.e. surgical procedures, fluoroscopic-guided pain injections, limited non-contrast CT Scanning) according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols. Demonstrates expertise with specialized clinical equipment (i.e. surgical c-arms, fluoroscopy, CT Scanner) and utilizes appropriate radiation protection measures within the assigned specialty area. Reviews images; archives with associated patient data. Interacts with imaging personnel, nursing and medical staff, patients and visitors.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist is required.
• High school diploma and graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology is required.
• Must be self-motivated and reliable with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must be a Licensed Radiography by the state of Wisconsin.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) R registry is required.
• Annual registration of individual certificate by agreeing to comply with the ARRT Rules and Regulations, Standards of Ethics, and Continuing Education Requirements is required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic/fluoroscopic procedures for all patients (ED, IP, and OP).
• Perform fluoroscopic-guidance for pain management injections.
• Perform intraoperative radiologic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Shared On-Call responsibilities to support on-duty technologists on PM, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Participate in teaching and learning environment for radiography program students in clinical rotation
