About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist coordinates and performs a wide variety of quality diagnostic radiographic examinations and may assist in the performance of procedures. The Technologist must possess and demonstrate knowledge of the following: anatomy/physiology, radiation safety, radiographic equipment operation, safe patient transfers and positioning techniques, and ethical and professional conduct. The Technologist ensures accurate documentation, effective communications and demonstrates knowledge of age-appropriate criteria when working with all patients, which include high risk and critically ill patients. Responsible for accurate charge capture. Population Served: Neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Schedule: Every other weekend. Shifts are assigned based on daily needs and may include day, evening, or night shifts. A minimum of 7 shifts of availability must be provided per month. One major holiday per year is required. Short-Hour Position: Includes a $1.25 pay differential in lieu of benefits.

Requirements

  • ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire
  • RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 Days of hire
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Upon Hire
  • Must be knowledgeable of technical factors and radiographic views.
  • Demonstrates proficiency with multiple computerized systems.
  • Demonstrates proficiency when working with picture archiving and communicating systems (PACS) to transmit, archive, and retrieve digital images.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and complies with all Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist is desirable.
  • Prior work experience in an acute care facility is preferable.
