Bay Medical Management LLC (BMMLLC) is a medical services organization (MSO) headquartered in Walnut Creek, CA. The organization provides administrative and management services to Bay Imaging Consultants Medical Group (BIC) who is the premier radiology group in Northern California. SUMMARY The Radiology Operations Support Technician coordinates incoming radiology exams to support timely review and reporting by radiologists and ensures results are communicated to appropriate clinical staff and physicians. This role provides telephone and operational support to all facilities, clinicians, support staff, and radiologists regarding radiology services. The position is part-time (24 hours per week) with a set schedule of Monday through Thursday, 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and is 100% remote, working from home. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Processes incoming radiology exams, paperwork, and phone calls from contracted hospitals and outpatient imaging centers Monitors worklists and filters within appropriate BIC and hospital-based systems Prepares exams for radiologist interpretation, including verifying exam and clinical information, ensuring receipt of relevant prior studies, resolving exceptions as needed, and linking all pertinent studies for electronic reading Prioritizes exams appropriately and assigns radiologists as needed to meet required turnaround times Sends preliminary radiology reports to Imaging Departments, Emergency Rooms, inpatient units, urgent care, and other clinics via fax and/or PACSscan Contacts inpatient units to verify receipt of radiology reports when required Answers, prioritizes, and routes multiple incoming calls to radiologists as appropriate Initiates outbound phone calls on behalf of radiologists as requested Assigns exams within Clario Consistently monitors and responds to email and instant messaging across multiple platforms, including Sectra, Microsoft Teams, and Clario Acts as a liaison between radiologists, clinical sites, and the internal BMMI IT department; coordinates with Bay Medical and hospital IT staff as needed Assists the Radiology Support Technician Lead with training Radiology Operations Support Technicians on procedures and systems Trains Radiology Support Technicians on established procedures and system workflows Performs clerical duties such as copying, filing, faxing, and document management Uses multiple computer systems to input, retrieve, and print patient information Trains Radiology Support Technicians on the procedures and system used.
