About The Position

The Radiology Student Aide works as part of the Radiology Department team, assisting technologists and supporting patient care and departmental operations. This role provides hands-on experience in a clinical setting while helping to ensure a safe, efficient, and professional environment for patients and staff. The Radiology Student Aide reports to the Director of Radiology or their designee.

Requirements

Current enrollment in the Arnot School of Radiology or Arnot School of Nursing (required)
High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Experience with computers and Windows applications
Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
Hospital or healthcare experience desirable

Responsibilities

Assist Radiologic Technologists with patient care tasks and departmental workflow
Transport patients safely and efficiently within the hospital
Prepare and clean procedure and exam rooms between patients
Stock, organize, and maintain supplies and linens
Assist with documentation in the Epic electronic medical record system and PACS
Support coordination of patient flow, including preparing patients for exams
Answer telephones and direct calls professionally and courteously
Perform clerical duties such as documenting exams and scheduling support
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and patient-centered care
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the department
