About The Position

Shriners Children's Erie has a full time opportunity available for a Radiology Technologist to join our team! The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic imaging examinations for the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric patients. This may include fractures, diseases, and abnormalities of patient anatomy.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Required
  • Fluoroscopy s required by state only Board eligible candidates to sit for the ARRT, RT (R) credential may be hired as long as they can show they have successfully completed the educational/clinical requirements. Must pass registry boards within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality radiographic image is produced.
  • Works closely with radiologists and physicians who interpret images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury.
  • Responsible for communication and documentation of patient images.
  • Maintain communication with patients, parents, and medical personnel.
  • Maintains on-going plan for personal growth and self-development.
  • Demonstrates professional role requirements related to communication with peers and supervisor and flexibility during unexpected work related events.
