How you will contribute A Radiology Technician Student who excels in this role: must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of anatomy. The technologist must demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill and understanding of image quality. Must be able to communicate to patients the nature of the tests and relieve their anxiety. Must demonstrate an understanding of Radiographic Positioning, Radiographic Technique, Radiation Safety, Imaging Equipment, Infection Control and Quality Control techniques. Presents a pleasant and helpful manner to patients, physicians, subordinates and other members of the department staff. Assists in maintaining a work area free from hazards. The student radiologic technologist must perform routine diagnostic imaging studies, as needed. Must vary work schedule. The patient population ranges from neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. The student radiologic technologist must provide services to all patients, families, and physicians serving this population. Ensures that patient examinations are performed in an accurate and timely manner; not to exceed 30 minutes. Provides accurate patient positioning, computer entries and filming.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be working on completion of a bachelor’s degree, Diploma or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology (verification from school is required).
  • BLS Required

Responsibilities
