About The Position

Registered Radiologic Technologist — SouthRidge InstaCare Schedule: Alternating weeks of three 12‑hour shifts / two 12‑hour shifts (specific days confirmed during interviews) Pay: $29.14 – $44.94/hour, depending on experience Status/Location: SouthRidge InstaCare Make a bigger impact—one patient at a time Join a collaborative team that trusts your clinical judgment and values your compassion. As a Registered Radiologic Technologist at SouthRidge InstaCare, you’ll perform high‑quality diagnostic imaging in a fast‑paced, patient‑first environment. You’ll work closely with radiologists, physicians, and caregivers to deliver accurate results—safely and efficiently—so our patients can get answers and care without delay.

Requirements

  • Anatomy knowledge; image evaluation; electronic imaging
  • Equipment operation and contrast protocols
  • Effective communication; strong teamwork and ability to work independently
  • Sound emergency response and task prioritization
  • Commitment to a clean, safe clinical environment
  • ARRT (R) certification
  • Radiologic Technologist license in state of practice
  • BLS for healthcare providers
  • May be required to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist and perform MA functions in a clinic/InstaCare setting

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of radiology experience
  • IV Certification

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ARRT or modality‑specific competency across all clinical and technical functions.
  • Verify patient identity and orders; prepare patients and obtain informed cooperation for exams.
  • Perform exams per department protocol; review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
  • Adhere to radiation safety and maintain a safe, compliant working environment.
  • Complete studies within acceptable timeframes without compromising patient care or image quality.
  • Support team development: assist and instruct students and Radiology Techs on protocols, positioning, procedures, and equipment.
  • Educate and comfort patients; address questions and concerns professionally.
  • Practice proper infection control and sterile technique.
  • Operate equipment and related information systems to ensure consistently high image quality.
  • Document thoroughly: maintain accurate patient records, exam details, and note any adverse reactions.
  • Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding/charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment issues.
