Radiology Technologist (OFNHP), Part Time
About The Position
In the heart of The Dalles, Oregon, Adventist Health Columbia Gorge has served the Columbia River Gorge community since 1901. We are comprised of a 49-bed hospital, various medical offices, home health, a birthing center and a vast scope of services located throughout The Dalles and the surrounding areas. The Dalles is known for its picturesque views of the Columbia River, local charm and delicious downtown restaurants and bakeries. There is something for everyone in this scenic community. Job Summary: Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of body as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients prior to examination, adjusts the x-ray equipment and determines proper voltage as well as current and desired exposure time for each radiograph. This position is represented by OFNHP.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in radiological technology: Preferred
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists â€" Radiography (ARRT-R): Required
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License: Required in OR
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
Nice To Haves
- Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation.
- Explains procedures to patients and answers questions.
- Prepares equipment for use as needed.
- Prepares examination rooms for patient exams.
- Positions patients for imaging exams.
- Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams.
- Produces diagnostic images.
- Documents exam information.
- Reports important information to the physician.
- Verifies exams on PACS.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
