Your mission Be the real-time technical lifeline for on-train staff, providing calm phone support during enroute events Continuously monitor fleet health at the Amtrak Mechanical Desk and spot issues before they escalate Turn remote data into decisive recommendations that restore service safely and efficiently Lead and contribute to Failure Investigations and Root Cause Analysis; improve troubleshooting guides and maintenance documentation Partner with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Field Service Technicians to elevate maintenance practices Offer technical oversight to contractual depots and administrative support to Siemens Reliability and Service Managers Resolve product and service issues end-to-end, from clarifying the problem to follow-up verification Growth path Start by mastering our diagnostic ecosystem and structured troubleshooting approaches. Grow into a subject-matter expert on Venture Coaches and Charger Locomotives, influencing maintenance standards, documentation, and reliability strategies across the fleet. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
