Build America’s next chapter in high‑speed rail For more than 160 years, Siemens has helped move people and goods across the United States. In Horseheads, NY, we are launching a new, nearly 300,000-square-foot manufacturing facility that will create ~300 skilled jobs and produce the first high‑speed trains built in the U.S. Step into a fast-paced production environment where safety, precision, and quality drive everything. As a Mechanical Assembler, you’ll bring engineering drawings to life—one pneumatic line, bracket, and fastener at a time. A day in the life You arrive, gear up with PPE, and review your build plan: drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions. You stage components, verify specs, and begin assembling mechanical and pneumatic systems. By mid‑morning you’re routing stainless-steel tubing and securing fittings; after lunch you’re clocking labor hours, updating quality documentation, and walking a teammate through a tricky assembly technique. You finish the shift by checking your work against standards and preparing the next station to keep production on schedule.
