Requirements

Minimum Age: 18
Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Must be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude
Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others
Possess mechanical knowledge to aid in the maintenance of the engine
Ability to work in heat related environment
Good oral communication skills

Nice To Haves

A minimum of two years Six Flags rides experience preferred

Responsibilities

Operate authentic propane fueled steam locomotive
Ability to work with and read numerous gauges and valves
Ability to maintain keen awareness of surrounding environment with moving mechanical parts, many of which are hot
Observe the ride while it is in motion for the safety of the guests
Maintain a clean work environment specific to the engine and tender
Maintain Six Flags’ Guests First Standards
Maintain a regular, prompt attendance record
Other duties as deemed necessary by the Rides Lead
