Role Overview: The RCM Systems Specialist is a principal, cross-functional role responsible for the strategic oversight, optimization, and execution of dental practice management systems with a primary focus on end-to-end Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) performance across a multi-site Dental Support Organization (DSO). This role serves as the enterprise authority on PMS-enabled RCM workflows, ensuring systems, data, and user adoption consistently support accurate charge capture, clean claims, optimized collections, compliant documentation, and sustainable financial performance. The individual functions as both a technical expert and operational leader, setting standards, driving quality, leading complex initiatives, and mentoring teams to achieve scalable, best-in-class RCM outcomes across all supported practices. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for all supported PMS platforms with deep expertise in RCM workflows including scheduling, eligibility, treatment posting, claim submission, AR follow-up, adjustments, and payment posting. Define and enforce enterprise PMS standards, configurations, and RCM workflows to drive consistency, accuracy, and scalability across all practices. Partner closely with Revenue Cycle, Operations, IT, Clinical, and Compliance leadership to align PMS functionality with financial, operational, and regulatory objectives. Oversee system configuration, fee schedules, insurance plans, provider setup, user permissions, audit controls, and security standards. Ensure PMS workflows directly support clean claims, reduced rework, AR aging reduction, denial prevention, and maximized collections. Lead complex PMS and RCM-related initiatives including system conversions, enterprise upgrades, integrations, acquisitions, and de novo onboarding. Serve as the primary PMS and RCM systems leader during M&A activity, ensuring rapid stabilization and alignment to enterprise standards. Develop and manage project plans, timelines, risks, and cross-functional dependencies for enterprise initiatives. Ensure training emphasizes accuracy, compliance, financial accountability, and quality outcomes, not just system navigation. Lead change management efforts to drive adoption of standardized workflows across legacy and newly acquired practices. Establish PMS-driven RCM quality standards, controls, and audit processes to ensure data integrity, transaction accuracy, and compliance. Lead PMS reporting strategy supporting cost controls, utilization trends, adjustment patterns, and key RCM KPIs. Ensure enterprise data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all supported locations.
