Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Revenue Cycle & Scheduling team in the role of RCS Manager. This position is a full time, hybrid role with onsite expectations twice per month located in Indianapolis, IN. This position is responsible for Managing call center operations for one of our Specialty Scheduling Teams. This role provides departmental administrative decision making, leadership, and strategic planning, including the efficient and productive use of personnel and other financial resources. Ensures high quality standardized work processes that result in consistent outcomes that compare favorably with relevant national benchmarks. The incumbent must possess strong subject matter expertise and leadership to support a diverse and complex operating environment and span of control.

Requirements

  • Requires strong knowledge of business and reimbursement management with an undergraduate degree preferred.
  • At least three years of experience with hospital or physician billing strongly preferred.
  • Requires demonstrable knowledge of healthcare billing terminology concepts and processes.
  • Requires the ability to plan and manage the utilization of resources.
  • Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Requires effective written and verbal communication skills in both individual and group settings.
  • Requires the ability to organize and manage work to achieve performance expectations.
  • Requires the ability to promote teamwork and develop team members.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management: Manager and lead a remote team, providing training, support, and development opportunities to foster a patient-centered culture through a hybrid remote work environment.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure all scheduling processes are completed accurately and efficiently, prioritizing patient preference and satisfaction.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Maintain and promote high standards of customer service, addressing patient concerns promptly and ensuring a positive experience for every patient.
  • Patient Experience: Implement strategies to enhance the patient experience.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the scheduling process, using strong critical thinking skills to ensure smooth operations.
  • Strong Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication between patients, Scheduling staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Team Member Experience : Foster a collaborative work environment that prioritizes teamwork and synergy, ensuring staff feel valued and supported as they work together to achieve common goals.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulations, and quality standards, with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Staffing schedules: Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal staffing levels, ensuring that patient needs are always met.
