About the position

The Real Estate Project Manager will report to the North American Senior Director of Real Estate and Facility Management. They will act in a project management and delivery capacity for Real Estate and related services for all relevant Thales North America (USA & CAN) sites. In addition, this position will support project definition, approvals & documentation all related to the management of specific real estate projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project scopes, objectives and schedules ensuring alignment with business goals and in compliance with local regulations.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring the project remains within the budget constraints.
  • Assemble and lead project teams, including third party architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, etc. to drive project execution.
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders, providing updates on project status, challenges and milestones.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities and develop mitigation and capture strategies to ensure project timelines and costs are maintained.
  • Oversee the quality of work performed, ensuring it meets the established standards and specifications.
  • Address and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle, including logistics, resource allocation and stakeholder concerns.
  • Oversee the project closeout documents related to lease Tenant Improvement (TI) reimbursements, to ensure payments are received from landlords, per agreed upon TI lease reimbursement language.
  • Generate documentation for assigned real estate business case presentations, and for any weekly, bi-weekly, monthly & quarterly meetings, as necessary.
  • Participates, and at times leads, in various project update meetings, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly & quarterly meetings as requested.
  • Ability to speak French.
  • Any other tasks assigned as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in business, real estate, finance or related field or in lieu of a degree, at least 6 years of relevant, exempt experience and/or education as equivalency.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a project manager, preferably related to Real Estate or construction.
  • Demonstrated understanding of real estate project management terminology and of various project related agreements.
  • Able to multi-task while working on multiple assignments and engage with internal/external support to escalate when necessary.
  • At least 2 years of experience preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring the project remains within the budget constraints.
  • Prior experience communicating regularly with internal stakeholders to provide updates on project status, challenges and milestones.
  • Detail-oriented and able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Able to work both autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Often handles confidential and sensitive information.
  • Highly organized and analytical, with a strong work ethic.
  • Proficient in MS Suites including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • The ability to speak French is preferred.
