The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife is seeking a Real Property Coordinator (IF&W Senior Resource Biologist) to work as part of the Land Acquisition Program. The mission of the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (IF&W) is to preserve, protect, and enhance the inland fisheries and wildlife resources of the state as well as to enable and promote the safe enjoyment of Maine’s outdoors. To achieve this mandate, the Department acquires land for the management and protection of fish and wildlife habitats and to support and improve opportunities for public access. The Real Property Coordinator will help advance IF&W’s land acquisition and management goals by coordinating IF&W‘s property monitoring and reporting responsibilities. This position will work closely with IF&W’s Wildlife Management Section and Water Access Program to establish procedures and ensure compliance with grant reporting requirements. This position will also oversee the resolution of issues identified during monitoring efforts through landowner communication, title review, legal documentation, boundary surveys, and other efforts. Work will be conducted both in the office and in the field as needed. The position is located within the Habitat Conservation Section and is based in IF&Ws Augusta office.
