Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of computers and MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Proficient with AutoCAD 2016 or later
  • Minimum 10 years of previous detailing experience utilizing ASA MicroStation and/or Rebar AutoCAD
  • 2-year degree in related technical discipline required
  • A combination of formal education and/or directly related work experience may substitute for the degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge with BIM modeling a plus

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between customer and internal departments including sales, detailing, operations, superintendents, shop, etc.
  • Assign rebar detailing work efficiently and in accordance with customers' delivery needs
  • Assist with the research of detailing, fabrication and field problems
  • Create SAP purchase requests for project specific material and outside detailing costs
  • Ability to teach, train, and coach
  • Manage the hiring and training of new detailers and act as the Subject Matter Expert for all rebar detailing technology and recommendations
  • Assist with maintaining department cost
  • Ensure department/company goals are being met
  • Ensure production of clean and accurate shop drawings
  • Directs and coordinates all activities including detailing, project planning, and production
