Position Summary: Assists receiving department, performing clerical duties involved in the receiving of materials.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft office applications
• Detailed oriented in record keeping and time elements of the position.
• Leadership skills to direct employees
• Education: HS diploma or equivalent
• Experience: No experience required, but 1+ years of warehouse experience; clerical experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Routes items to departments.
• Keeps records on incoming shipments and returns.
• May operate tier-lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
• May direct others in receiving incoming shipments.
