About The Position

The Receiving III will be responsible for leading a team of 1 - 3 forklift drivers in receiving, verifying count, labeling, palletizing and put away of incoming materials.  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Receiving • Ensures the count of incoming materials against the PO is correct. • Verifies that the quality of incoming materials is acceptable.  • Signs bills of lading, verifies shipper signature and retains the records.  • Enters receipts into the AS400 and Logimax inventory system.  • Prepares and prints labels for the team to affix to incoming materials.  • Instructs employees on how to palletize materials for warehouse storage (put away).  • Responsible for training the team on use of handheld scanners and wrist scanners.  • Reports any discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.  • Works with accounts payable as needed to reconcile any discrepancies. Safety • Responsible for confirming all Safety policies and procedures are being followed at all times.  • Ensures Safety trainings are completed on time and Forklift certifications are kept current. Quality Control • Inspects incoming materials for damage prior to receiving and put away.  • Notifies the Quality Control Department of any problems with materials and/or finished goods and coordinates the inspection of containers with the Quality Control department.  Lead and Train • Leads a team of 1-3 people to complete the daily workload assigned by the Supervisor. This includes following all Safety policies and procedures, completing receiving on time and reporting Quality issues. • Responsible for training new hires in the day-to-day Receiving activities and forklift certifications. • Notifies the supervisor of any attendance or discipline issues.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Four years of relevant experienceÂ
  • Previous Forklift Operator experience is requiredÂ
  • Valid driver’s license with no prior DUI or DWI convictions is required
  • Ability to travel to off-site Warehouse in company vehicle
  • Trustworthy in off-site warehouse, able to conduct business as needed and lock up
  • Intermediate computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
