About The Position

The Receiving Material Inspector is responsible for performing detailed inspections and measurements of incoming materials within a warehouse environment. This role ensures purchased materials meet quality standards, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and provides critical feedback that directly impacts product quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a related role
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to use basic measuring equipment
Proficient with Microsoft Office and SAP
Basic knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
Strong attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing assignments, and learn office procedures/new software
Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift
Ability to lift 25–50 lbs to waist level and up to 25 lbs above shoulders
Ability to work at a computer and keyboard occasionally during the shift
Must wear PPE including safety glasses with side shields, safety-toe footwear, hearing protection, and additional PPE as required

Responsibilities

Work in a safe manner and comply with all HS&E, security, and emergency procedures
Maintain a positive, healthy work environment and strong attendance/work ethic
Inspect purchased material and products in warehouse locations
Document inspection findings and results accurately
Complete one (1) Quality-approved continuous improvement project annually
Perform measurements of incoming material and make decisions regarding product quality
Communicate performance issues, inspection findings, and non-conformances to relevant stakeholders
Conduct inspections, data logging, reporting, analysis, and training as needed
Support warehouse personnel daily and assist with control of non-conforming products
Perform other work as directed by the Supplier Quality Engineer
