About The Position

The Receiving Operation Supervisor at McKesson Corporation is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all inbound logistics and receiving processes during the night shift. This role ensures the efficient, accurate, and safe reception of goods, contributing to the seamless flow of inventory and distribution operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Proven experience in receiving operations, including familiarity with inbound logistics and inventory control systems.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work the assigned night shift (Monday - Friday 9pm - 5:45am) and occasional overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of receiving associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure productivity and adherence to company standards.
  • Manage the nightly receiving operations, including unloading trucks, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, and identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry for all received products into the inventory management system.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures within the receiving department to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Optimize workflow and resource allocation to meet receiving targets and deadlines.
  • Monitor and maintain receiving equipment, ensuring proper functionality and reporting any issues for repair.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., inventory control, quality assurance, distribution) to ensure smooth transitions of received goods.
  • Conduct regular audits of receiving processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present daily receiving reports to management, highlighting key metrics and any operational challenges.
  • Participate in performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and hiring processes for receiving personnel.
