About The Position

The Receiving Specialist I unloads and segregates clinical and non-clinical supplies and equipment from trucks upon arrival. Checks for damage, counts, compares count to packing list, notes any discrepancies and receives all items and ensures that they are delivered to the correct department. Responsible for financial accuracy of receiving items and resolution of all receiving discrepancies. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Understanding of data analytics entry and use.
  • Pallet Jack and related warehouse equipment
  • One-year related experience including receiving, shipping, and returns.
  • Minimum of one year experience with ERP systems

Responsibilities

  • Check for damage, count, compare count to packing list, note any discrepancies.
  • Enter receipts into the system and accurately place receiving label for delivery on received packages.
  • Sort and stage packages received to be delivered.
  • Unloads shipments from trucks and verify bill and lading against items delivered.
  • Deliver totes and all received items to designated department areas daily.
  • Retrieve all empty totes for return to distributor.
  • Breakdown and discard cardboard boxes for removal.
  • Responsible for sorting and segregating of overnight packages for receipt and delivery as priority to departments within required time frames.
  • Communicates with Procurement on all overages, shortages, mis picks, or damages within vendor defined reporting requirements and works the match exception report daily.
  • Maintain receiving files by scanning and uploading packing lists daily.
  • Initial contact with vendors and other associates who enter the receiving/warehouse area and assist in issue resolution.
  • Inventory and delivery of gas cylinders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
