About The Position

Wastequip Trucks Division is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping & Receiving Specialist to support our Salisbury, NC manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for coordinating the movement, verification, and documentation of finished goods, components, and raw materials to ensure accurate inventory control and timely outbound shipments. The Shipping & Receiving Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production flow, and ensuring compliance with company quality and safety standards. Pay Rate: $19.55

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification onsite).
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory control in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience using ERP systems for inventory transactions and shipping documentation is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with inventory control processes and shipping logistics preferred.
  • Availability to work mandatory overtime as required.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 45 lbs.
  • Ability to push or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to roll products weighing up to 350 lbs. onto trailers using proper handling techniques.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to operate electronic scales, cameras, and computer systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities in alignment with the production schedule to ensure timely movement of finished goods and components.
  • Transport materials and products using forklifts, hand dollies, or manual handling methods in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for all materials and finished goods located in warehouse and storage areas.
  • Ensure all inventory transactions are properly recorded and confirmed in the ERP system.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and accessory check-off sheets.
  • Stage outbound shipments in designated areas, including stretch wrapping and preparing Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipments as required.
  • Assist with loading trailers using proper material handling techniques and equipment.
  • Verify product quality and confirm shipments are accurate and complete in accordance with sales orders.
  • Ensure all materials are labeled and stocked in the correct location in compliance with 5S standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and proactively communicate potential stock-out risks to leadership.
  • Weigh, record, and return excess raw materials to appropriate storage locations following completion of production orders.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area in accordance with 5S and company safety standards.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all company safety policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support operational objectives.
