About The Position

The Receiving Supervisor oversees the flow of materials within a window manufacturing facility to ensure production lines are supplied and shipments are completed efficiently. This role supervises warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory activities to support window assembly operations.

Requirements

  • Experience with continuous flow manufacturing and labor-paced production.
  • Experience in a "made to order" environment.
  • Experience in team building and management.
  • Demonstrated integrity, flexibility, sound judgment, and strong critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with computer systems for inventory management, scheduling, and timekeeping.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in materials, warehouses, or manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and timekeeping systems.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in window, glass, or construction product manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support all areas including on-time supplier receipts, daily warehouse transfers, shipping of parts, cycle counts, and material handling operations.
  • Lead and coach Associates to drive safety, housekeeping, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
  • Accomplish manufacturing results by providing on-time delivery of materials through clear job expectations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to production team efforts by participating in Kaizen teams and process improvement projects.
  • Ensure production lines are stocked with materials such as glass, vinyl extrusions, aluminum components, hardware, screens, and packaging supplies.
  • Coordinate material movement between receiving, warehouse, and production areas.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts.
  • Verify incoming materials and ensure proper handling of glass and finished windows.
  • Coordinate with Production, Planning, and Purchasing to ensure material availability.
  • Oversee staging and shipment of finished window products.
  • Promote safe work practices and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records for inventory, timekeeping, and production data.
  • Utilize computer systems for material tracking, reporting, and entering timekeeping data for the team.
