Mark Twain Behavioral Health (MTBH) is a private not-for-profit Certified Community Behavioral Health Organization serving Northeast Missouri since 1975 with a wide variety of services. Mark Twain Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time RECEPTIONIST/SUPPORT STAFF for our MACON location. This full-time salaried position offers competitive pay and full benefits. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
  • Ability to greet and direct people in person and via telephone
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Keyboarding and computer skills, and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced office environment
  • Capability to deal with consumers politely and efficiently

Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients, vendors and guests to our office
  • Welcome on-site clients to the office, determine nature of business and announce client to appropriate personnel
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, determine purpose of call and forward to appropriate personnel
  • Retrieve voice mail and forward to appropriate personnel
  • Take and deliver messages or transfer calls to voicemail when appropriate personnel are unavailable
  • Receive payment for services
  • Contact clients to schedule appointment times
  • Record time and date of appointment in the electronic system
  • Record changes when appointments have been canceled or failed
  • Process incoming and outgoing requests for client-protected health information
  • Assist new clients with opening paperwork and assist existing clients with annual updates
  • Other job duties as assigned
  • Adherence to the MTBH Ethical Code of Conduct and all policies is required.
