About The Position

The Receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate department or individual. As the first point of contact for the organization, this role requires a positive attitude and a polished, professional appearance.

Requirements

  • Exhibits a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with the public, employees, and vendors.
  • Demonstrates the ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
  • Possesses exceptional customer service skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to maintain harmonious and effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Possesses computer literacy, including basic keyboarding skills.
  • Possesses a high school diploma or GED and one to two years of experience in a customer service role, and demonstrates basic office skills.
  • Must possess a Mississippi Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes visitors and customers by greeting them in person or via telephone and answering or directing inquiries appropriately.
  • Directs visitors and customers by maintaining employee and department directories and providing accurate instructions.
  • Answers and manages multi-line telephone systems.
  • Sorts, delivers, and distributes incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly reception area, including updating magazines, clearing clutter, and supporting a professional and welcoming office environment.
  • Assists with special projects as needed.
