Recreation/Activity Coordinator
About The Position
We're looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Recreation / Activity Coordinator to join our team and create meaningful, engaging experiences for our residents. In this hands-on role, you'll plan and lead a variety of activities that promote socialization, wellness, and joy-while building strong one-on-one connections along the way. This position is ideal for a self-starter who thrives working independently and enjoys bringing new ideas to life. From group events and outings to individualized engagement, your work will have a direct and lasting impact on the daily lives of our residents.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- High energy, creativity, and a passion for working with older adults
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible availability, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid, clean driver's license
Nice To Haves
- Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) preferred, but not required
- Dementia training preferred, or willingness to learn
- Previous experience in activities coordination or a related field
Responsibilities
- Plan, promote, and facilitate a variety of recreational and social activities
- Encourage and support resident participation in programs and events
- Provide one-on-one engagement tailored to resident interests and needs
- Assist residents during mealtimes
- Perform light housekeeping duties as needed
- Safely transport residents to off-campus outings using a 15-passenger bus and other community vehicles (training provided)
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a vibrant and inclusive environment
