About The Position

Are you enthusiastic about sports, community and providing excellent customer service? The City of Nacogdoches is seeking a motivated and reliable Part-Time Recreation Assistant to help support our dynamic recreation programs! What you'll do : Be the face of fun: Communicate courteously and effectively with the public, answering questions about programs and schedules and registering participants. Keep things running smoothly: Support and monitor participants, instructors and spectators during recreational programs and events. Manage our facilities: Open and close the recreation center, prepare facilities for athletic activities (basketball, volleyball, soccer, futsal) and special events by setting up necessary equipment. Maintain quality: Inspect and clean recreational supplies and equipment and perform routine maintenance in the center. Requirements

• A High School diploma or GED.
• A valid driver's license.
• The ability to work irregular hours, including Saturdays and sometimes Sundays.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in recreational activities, athletics or knowledge of sports like soccer, volleyball and basketball is prefered, but not required.
