Requirements

Recreation experience is required
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Recreation Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
3--5 years of experience in waterpark, amusement park, or recreational facility management
Proven experience in staff supervision, safety compliance, and operations management
Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management
Strong background in customer service and conflict resolution
In-depth knowledge of waterpark operations, safety regulations, and emergency response procedures
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for guest relations and staff supervision
Ability to develop and enforce policies and procedures effectively
Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation
Skilled in staff training, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution
Familiarity with maintenance and repair of waterpark equipment and facilities
Ability to analyze operational data and implement improvements
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations applicable to waterparks
Competence with scheduling software and basic computer applications

Nice To Haves

Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Training preferred

Responsibilities

Oversee all daily operations of the waterpark to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for guests
Manage, train, and supervise waterpark staff, including attendants, lifeguards, maintenance, and guest services teams
Develop and implement safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
Monitor and enforce water safety and guest conduct rules to prevent accidents and injuries
Coordinate maintenance and repairs of waterpark equipment, facilities, and landscaping
Prepare and manage budgets, control expenses, and optimize resource allocation
Handle guest complaints and feedback promptly to ensure high customer satisfaction
Plan and oversee special events, promotions, and marketing initiatives to increase attendance and revenue
Conduct regular staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations
Maintain accurate records related to attendance, incidents, maintenance, and finances
Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies as needed
Ensure emergency response plans are current and staff are trained on their roles during incidents
Stay updated on industry trends, technology, and best practices in waterpark operations
