Position Overview We are seeking a Recruiter / HR Generalist to join our Administrative Team at our St. Paul Energy Park office. This position supports three plant locations and approximately 200 employees. This role combines full-cycle recruiting with broad HR generalist responsibilities. The individual in this position will partner with associates at all levels and across all departments, while also collaborating with external service providers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Two or more years professional experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • A desire to foster employee career development, internal promotion, and long-term employment.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, EHS regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, Payroll systems, HRIS software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Source candidates through job boards (Indeed & LinkedIn), referrals, and networking.
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone and in-person interviews, and facilitate candidate selection.
  • Manage job postings and maintain applicant tracking systems.
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire onboarding and safety orientation.
  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Assist with payroll processing and maintain accurate HR records.
  • Support performance management processes, including evaluations and goal setting.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Partner with employees to address questions, provide clarity on policies, and support positive work experience.
  • Help develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain employee training databases and safety training documentation.
  • Support OSHA compliance efforts and related reporting requirements.
