About The Position

Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way. Airbnb is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support Recruiting initiatives at Airbnb. This role sits within our Recruiting PMO team, and will be a liaison between Recruiting Ops, Recruiting leaders, Talent Partners (HRBPs), and product teams and other cross-functional partners at Airbnb. As part of project/program ownership, you will focus on the larger business picture (i.e., candidate experience or particular problem/process), understand relevant business requirements/goals and drive the right outcomes. This is a 7 month contract role.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of project/program management experience (in a Recruiting Team preferably)
  • 9+ years of total work experience
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills; strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills also a must
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and solutions-oriented in the face of problems
  • Passion for trying, learning, improving, and sharing best practices
  • Proactive team member with excellent attention to detail and follow through
  • Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of urgency to drive projects to completion

Nice To Haves

  • Background in Recruiting or Human Resources is a plus
  • Familiarity with Greenhouse is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of recruiting projects and process improvements, from discovery and design through rollout and change management
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives (e.g., interviewer onboarding, training, process audits) with clear timelines, milestones, and success metrics
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs; proactively surface and resolve blockers
  • Use data and stakeholder feedback to recommend and implement improvements that enhance speed, quality, and candidate experience
  • Document and standardize processes to support global scale and operational clarity
  • Act as a central point of coordination across Recruiting, Talent Ops, Legal, and Hiring Managers
  • Create clear communications, change plans, and documentation to drive understanding and adoption
  • Facilitate working sessions, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure alignment and continuous improvement
  • Define success metrics for recruiting programs (e.g., interviewer readiness, training completion, quality signals)
  • Track progress and outcomes; share insights and recommendations with recruiting leadership
