About The Position

As a Recruitment and Staffing Coordinator at Braintrust Tutors, you will play a key support role in recruiting, coordinating, and onboarding tutors for both online and in-person engagements nationwide. From managing candidate communication to organizing pre-onboarding requirements like fingerprinting and background checks, you will help ensure tutors are ready to support students effectively and on time. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, responsive, and energized by solving logistical challenges. Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in recruiting coordination, HR support, or staffing administration (education or nonprofit preferred)
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, CRMs, or project management tools.
  • Experience with BambooHR and Greenhouse is a must
  • Comfort navigating compliance processes such as fingerprinting and background checks for educational entities
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with a team-first attitude
  • Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends to meet urgent program needs

Responsibilities

  • Support the recruitment team in sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews and information sessions with tutor candidates
  • Maintain up-to-date candidate records across tracking tools and platforms (e.g., Notion, HubSpot, and ATS systems)
  • Communicate with tutor applicants throughout the hiring and onboarding process to ensure timely follow-up
  • Assist with the onboarding process, including tracking and processing fingerprinting, background checks, and required school or district forms
  • Monitor progress and flag any bottlenecks or outstanding items for resolution
  • Help maintain compliance records and documentation for internal audits or district reporting
  • Collaborate with the Recruiting and Staffing team and other departments to ensure smooth tutor onboarding and placement
  • Provide support with special staffing projects, seasonal surges, and administrative tasks as needed
