About The Position

The primary purpose of this role is to lead the safe, efficient, and on‑time production of quality materials that meet all customer requirements and internal performance standards. The role ensures that production activities are executed with discipline, accuracy, and full adherence to safety and operational procedures

Requirements

  • High School diploma or of equivalent value.
  • Three years of Manufacturing (plastic preferred) supervisor experience.
  • Computer data entry skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal people management and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Possess problem solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Self-motivator.
  • Ability to operate a fork truck.
  • Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office.
  • Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
  • All injuries regardless of severity must be reported to your Supervisor/HR immediately.
  • Must be able to regularly lift 55 lbs.
  • Repeatedly reach with hands and arms.
  • Climb straight incline ladders.
  • Have use of fingers and hands for packaging and writing.
  • Must have adequate color vision to accurately identify materials, labels, product specifications, and safety indicators essential to production and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and coach team members on safe work practices, reinforcing expected behaviors and promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Lead safety huddles at the start of each shift to communicate priorities, review hazards, and align the team on daily expectations
  • Ensure full compliance with all Ravago Life Safety Rules, providing guidance and corrective action when necessary.
  • Monitor and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with the PPE Matrix.
  • Engage and instruct employees in the safe operation of forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.
  • Direct and maintain housekeeping standards throughout the shift to support a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work environment.
  • Oversee practices that prevent pellet spills and other environmental impacts, ensuring immediate response and proper containment when issues arise.
  • Verify that all team members receive required training according to the established plan, maintaining compliance and documentation.
  • Report all safety and environmental incidents promptly, accurately, and in alignment with company procedures.
  • Lead the team to produce high‑quality product on time, in alignment with the established production schedule and customer requirements.
  • Assist/lead root‑cause investigations for internal and customer corrective and preventive actions, ensuring issues are accurately identified and resolved.
  • Supervise the formula integrity and testing processes throughout the shift to ensure materials meet required specifications.
  • Report and obtain proper authorization for any material changes, ensuring full compliance with quality and operational standards.
  • Partner with the lab to ensure timely testing of blend properties and completion of all required offline testing to support consistent production flow and product quality.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform all Operator essential functions, ensuring full understanding of equipment, processes, and safety requirements.
  • Supervise the on‑time preparation of recycled and scrap materials for Erema processing, ensuring accuracy, cleanliness, and readiness for production.
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of dry‑blends for Erema consumption, ensuring blends meet required specifications and production needs.
  • Supervise size‑reduction activities according to the production schedule, ensuring throughput, quality, and equipment efficiency.
  • Achieve and maintain a minimum production throughput of 2,500,000 lbs per month per Erema line, ensuring consistent performance and operational reliability.
  • Ensure all production activities are performed, documented, and completed to required standards of safety, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Oversee, guide, and actively participate in shift training for production employees and new hires, ensuring skill development and compliance with procedures.
  • Uphold the Ravago Code of Conduct, modeling professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior.
  • Make fact‑based decisions, using data, observations, and documented standards to guide actions and resolve issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
  • Responsible of all production records completion:
  • Closing orders.
  • Control Plans.
  • Order preparation.
  • Reporting.
  • Ensure first‑time‑right execution of all changeovers and drive continuous improvement in changeover response time to support production efficiency and schedule adherence.
