About The Position

Job Title: Referral Coordinator Location: Landis Lakes office -Remote Reports To: Sr. Revenue Cycle manager Department: Biling Travel Required: No Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: ? Review Patients’ insurance coverage for real-time eligibility screening, assessment of patients’ financial requirements, and counseling patients on their insurance benefits and copayments ? Ensure all insurance, demographic, eligibility, and signature information is documented in the patient’s account ? Re-verify benefits ? Serve as a liaison between the patient and Family Allergy & Asthma Education, Prior Work Experience, Special Skill and Knowledge Requirements: ? High School Diploma or GED, required ? 3-year medical billing office experience, required ? Basic computer skills ? Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment ? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ? Understanding of deductibles, copays, coinsurance, etc. ? Knowledge of insurance carrier guidelines, deductibles, copays, and coinsurance ? Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (ICD-10 and CPT) ? Availity clearinghouse experience preferred

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • 3-year medical billing office experience, required
  • Basic computer skills

  • Knowledge of insurance carrier guidelines, deductibles, copays, and coinsurance
