Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge of Medical terminology
• Two years of previous medical related scheduling experience
• Demonstrated organizational and communication/customer service skills
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in utilization of computer application
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Ability to type 40 words per minute
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with individuals in all levels of responsibility.
• Ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the use of a computerized scheduling system
• Three years of previous medical related scheduling experience

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduling functions as designated by practice.
• Coordinates incoming and outgoing referrals for office visits and diagnostic testing.
• Obtains insurance authorization prior to visit.
• Requires general knowledge of specified procedures, insurance authorizations, and other related functions.
